VHF National Field Day (2009)
The Southport & District Amateur Radio Club takes part in the Radio Society of Great Britain’s (RSGB’s) VHF National Field Day contest every year from a friend’s paddock in Aughton.
The event starts on the Saturday afternoon, finishing twenty-four hours later on the Sunday afternoon. This is an excellent chance to learn more about contesting as there are several members present during the weekend. It’s also a great opportunity to get to know your fellow members better and you operate, dine and relax together.
