The Southport & District Amateur Radio Club (SADARC) will be present at a major event in Ormskirk on the 28th June 2008 with a special event station and fund-raising draw.
Park Praise Fun Day has been organised by the churches in Ormskirk as an event packed day for the people of Ormskirk and features lots of attractions, stalls, presentations and activities. Situated right in the centre of the town, next to Morrisons on Coronation Park, on Saturday this is sure attract lots of visitors (especially as it is market day).
SADARC will be running a special event station under the callsign of GB5PPF (Park Praise Funday) and will have an HF station, VHF station, PSK-31 (data) station and a demonstration of aircraft radar. In addition, the club will be having a draw in aid of the North West Air Ambulance. Top prize is a £200 web site donated by dynanti with lots of other excellent prizes donated by Icom, Kenwood and various members of the club.
This should be a great day and we look forward to seeing you all down there from about 10:30-ish.
