Stu, G8ILJ, has been in touch and wishes to join the club. Stu has been out of the country for the last twenty years and, now that he is back, is settling in Meols Cop. We look forward to seeing him at the next meeting.
This brings me on to the first request for help. Stu would very much like to attend the next meeting but has not yet obtained any transport, so if anybody can help with a lift to the meeting, please contact me and I will put you in touch.
Next up is a request for help with equipment.
Stu is looking to get on to the weekly net and wonders if anyone has any 2m equipment which they might like to sell - I've already pointed out that we have our own repeater in Southport so if you have anything that might be used to access IRLP on that, again please let me know.
Finally, Stu may also be interest in any HF gear that members might have to dispose of, so if you can help...
As Stu has been out of the country for so long he is waiting for Ofcom to reactivate his G8ILJ callsign, so you may hear him as M3YUD in the mean time.
