Becoming a member
We welcome visitors to our monthly club meetings and hope that they find them informative and friendly. After a visitor's third visit we would like them to consider becoming a member.
Classes of membership
We have three classes of membership; Junior, Full and Full Senior. Junior Members are aged up to and including 17, Full Members are aged 18 to 64 and Senior Full Members are aged 65+.
Benefits of membership
All members enjoy:
- Support, help and advice from fellow members
- Monthly meetings featuring visiting speakers, visits to outside venues and on-air evenings
- 2m net each Monday, except on monthly meeting nights
- Priority when arranging visits to outside venues and numbers are limited
- Free club e-mail address
- Free access to Members-only Forums
In addition to this, Full and Full Senior members receive:
- A vote at all monthly meetings, extraordinary meetings and the Annual General Meeting
- The right to stand for election as an officer of the club
- The right to stand for election as a member of the club's committee
Membership fees
Junior membership is free of charge until the end of the year of their eighteenth birthday. Full membership currently costs just £15 per year, whilst Full Senior membership is discounted to £12 per year.
Apply now
We have a new on-line membership database which we are trialling that enables you to apply for membership from within this web site. The service doesn't take payment on-line, that would mean we'd have to raise membership fees to cover the charges we'd incurr, but does create you a membership record in the database and send you an invoice which you can bring to the next club meeting.
Alternatively, you can print out the paper application form (requires free Adobe Reader*) and fill it out by hand to be brought to the next club meeting.
