This event follows on from last year's GB5PPF (Park Praise Fun Day) special event station. Based at the same location on Coronation Park in Ormskirk, the event will run between 10:00 and 16:00 on Saturday, 30 May 2009.

We will be using the event to not only promote Amateur Radio and Foundation Courses to the public, but to raise money for MapAction, a charity that rushes to the scene of major disasters around the world, maps the area using the latest GPS and satellite technologies and presents the maps, free of charge, to relief and aid agencies working in the region.

Organised by local business networking group, Best of Ormskirk, the event will feature:

  • Local business exhibition
  • Stalls from specialist local producers
  • Live music on the bandstand
  • Bouncy castle
  • Face painting
 
  • Dance displays
  • Martial arts displays
  • A chainsaw carver!!
  • A hot air balloon (weather permitting!)
  • Magician/clown
