School & Youth Group Visits
Don (M1BUL) shows students how to tune a radio
Communication is an everday activity that we are all involved in, be it face-to-face or using some form of electronic device.
Radio communication are used by the vast majority of us, without even realising it some of the time; radio, television and satellite receivers, handheld computers, mobile phones and wireless networking all use some form of radio communication to work.
School visits
We can visit your school or college and provide your students with a fun-packed day, full of interesting activities that will introduce your students to radio communications, explain how they work and how to use them. Most of the activities are hands-on and suitable for Key Stage 2 (KS2) and Key Stage 3 (KS3) students. We can also tailor our visit to fit in with particular areas of the curriculum that your students are currently studying, or run a National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) event for you.
If you would like to book us to visit your school or college, contact us now for further information.
Scout troop, Guide unit and youth group visits
Over the years we have supported local Scout troops and run six week courses that have enabled members to gain their Communicator Badge, we've also taken several a step further to gain their Amateur Radio Foundation Licence.
We can run similar activities for Guide units and other youth groups who would like their members to gain extra skills.
If we can help your Scout troop, Guide unit, or youth group in any way please contact us now for further information.
